Industrial service processes often require a lot of traveling for experts and technicians to support customers, partners and colleagues with technical issues on textile machinery in production. Skilled workers are limited and their time too valuable for them to travel long distances for every service call. Augmented reality (AR) technology, remote support, and standardized work instructions create the possibility to enable humans, machines, and processes to interact efficiently, thereby deliver innovative services.
The VDMA Textile Machinery Association, Frankfurt/Germany, will be holding a webinar on November 18, 2021 with the title “The beginning of the remote age. Augmented Reality powered processes in the textile industry”. Guest speakers from research and industry will talk about how AR and VR (virtual reality) system be developed, and if and how these options could be beneficial in industrial applications.
