On January 13, 2022, Vandewiele and Savio India announced that they had finalized the merging process, creating a global network for their customers in India. This strategic alliance connects the expertise from these 2 groups, offering complete weaving, winding, twisting solutions to the Indian textile industry. The 2 companies will operate under the new name of Vandewiele-Savio India Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore/India.
The merger of the group activities has resulted in a wide range of synergies in service, care solutions and developments to provide the region with high class textile machines. With its corporate office located at Coimbatore with a strength of about 250 people and sales and service offices at Coimbatore, Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, Kolhapur and Thane/India they are covering the whole product range of the group.
In January 2022, Vandewiele NV, Kortrijk/Belgium, reached an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of Savio Macchine Tessili SpA, Pordenone/Italy.
Vandewiele builds carpet looms, velvet looms, jacquard machines and integrate innovative textile systems for flooring qualities, home linen, fashion fabrics and technical textiles.
With more than 110 years history, Savio Macchine Tessili SpA, Pordenone/Italy, has acted as a technological leader and innovative player in attractive niches of the textile value chain, specialized in the textile machinery sector for the yarn finishing segment being a leading supplier of winding and twisting machines with manufacturing plants in Italy, China and India.
