Made from sustainably sourced cellulose wood pulp, plant-based binders and natural pigments, Texon Verde is a new bio-based, biodegradable material. It is tailor-made for use in the manufacture of sustainable, luxury fashion and homeware accessories, the product contains up to 90% bio-based content. The material that is lightweight, easy to handle, tear resistant, wipeable and optimized to offer significantly lower environmental impacts compared to conventional materials.
Manufactured using only eco-friendly mechanical and chemical treatments, Texon Verde is free from any harmful substances and utilizes a plant-based binder system, which is compostable.
Texon Verde by Texon Italia Srl, Ripatransone/Italy, is suitable for the manufacture of sustainable luxury bags, notebooks, home accessories and many other consumer products. Available from Q2/2022, it will be available in 3 colors – Bianco, Caramello and Nero (white, caramel and black). Samples can be seen at the Lineapelle trade fair in Milan/Italy, from February 22-24, 2022. Alongside Texon Verde, the company will be showcasing some of its other recently launched material innovations.
