A project funded by the foundation Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, Osnabrück/Germany, has been successfully completed by Tailorlux to create a sensor that can determine the recycled content of a fabric.
The device by Tailorlux GmbH, Münster/Germany, combines a sensor mix of spectroscopy and image processing. It sets the stage to train a neuronal network with this sensor mix for the first time. It can already be seen how the device can distinguish different tracer concentrations and materials. The long-term goal is to create a self-learning data base for materials which can be utilized by sensors along the supply chain to analyze material content.
