The shuttle embroidery machine manufacturer Lässer acquires Saurer's embroidery division. This step represents a consolidation of the 2 market leaders in the production of shuttle embroidery machines. All assets and contracts allocated to the embroidery business of Saurer Intelligent Technology AG, Arbon/Switzerland, will be transferred to Lässer Holding AG, Diepoldsau/Switzerland. The transfer of operations is expected to be completed by the end of May 2022. The majority of the employees will be taken over.
Lässer was founded in 1954 as a family business and now has more than 12 locations worldwide, including in Turkey, India and Thailand. Saurer developed the first shuttle embroidery machine back in 1878.
»As a proud Swiss company, it made sense for us to join forces with another well-known name in the industry. With this step, we are pooling more than 2 centuries of knowledge and look forward to continuing to inspire our customers around the world with innovative developments.«
Franz Lässer, shareholde and chairman of the board of directors of Lässer Holding AG
