In a bid to encourage behavioral change through the supply chain and protect the advancements it has made in the textiles industry in recent years, Säntis has filed to expand its registered trademark.
With its unique RCO100 technology, Säntis Textiles Pte. Ltd., Singapore, has applied for trademark of its product in the USA and Singapore markets. Already registered in Europe, the company has taken the step to improve the RCO100 technology standing in the industry. With the trademark, the company is developing long-term resilience in the marketplace and supporting the education of consumers with regards to the benefits of a circular textile economy and what can be achieved with recycled technologies, specifically RCO100.
The new technology works by taking pre-consumer industrial waste and post-consumer cotton garment waste to produce 100% recycled cotton yarns without the use of chemical processes or regenerated fibers. In 2021, through its ongoing partnership with various companies, Säntis recycled 100,000 tons of cotton helping to reduce overall waste in the textiles industry.
