With a new fully digital platform, Picanol is offering a wide range of features, from industrial IoT to service-related applications. PicConnect is a web-based application that can be accessed through a web browser on any device and it functions as the gateway to all digital services offered by the manufacturer of weaving machines Picanol NV, Ieper/Belgium. The platform is cloud-based and allows the company’s weaving machines to be connected to the platform in order to leverage its full extent of possibilities.
The first 4 applications that will be launched as part of PicConnect are: production monitoring, energy monitoring, style administration, and PartsLine, the new online webshop.
In the production monitoring application, it is possible to track the production of the weaving machines. Real-time monitoring of the machine status enables the weaver to react quickly with regard to operational tasks and increase overall efficiency. The energy monitoring application keeps an eye on the power consumption of the machines. In the case of air-jet machines, also air consumption is monitored.
The style administration application allows the user to swiftly open, edit, and manage machine settings through a central repository. A very interesting feature of PicConnect is that a weaver can easily compare and copy settings between different machines.
