From October 26-29, 2021 Pfaff Industrial was present at the A+A trade fair in Düsseldorf/Germany – one of the few in-person events in 2021. The event, the leading International trade fair for safety, security and health at work, hosted 1,204 exhibitors from 56 nations and more than 25,000 trade visitors.
Pfaff Industriesysteme und Maschinen GmbH, Kaiserslautern/Germany, presented several industrial sewing and welding solutions on a joint stand with Dürkopp Adler AG, Bielefeld/Germany, Pfaff’s parent company. The Pfaff 1591 electronic postbed shoe machine with new programmable thread tension device is stepping motor driven with no tolerance of the stitch lengths at different speeds. This ensures top-quality for all assembly and decorative seams. The Pfaff 3590 CNC large-area sewing unit (500 x 400 mm sewing area) is suitable for full-automatic topstitching of work shoe uppers. The machine guarantees accurate seam quality due to the intermittent feed (feed stop when needle enters material); shifting of the material in the work clamp is avoided and wear on the hook is reduced. The vertical hook system ensures very good multi-directional sewing properties.
The welding solutions on display included the Pfaff 8303i hot-air taping machine for welding continuous seams on water-resistant, waterproof and breathable materials. The Pfaff 8323 hot-air welding machine for the welding of reflective strips on work, sports, protective and safety wear achieves time savings of up to 70% compared to conventional processing. The ultrasonic welding machine Pfaff 8311-005/001 has sonotrode (steel) and automatic welding force control, whereas the Pfaff 8311-105/001 ultrasonic welding machine is a C&S DUAL version – cutting and welding a second seam in one operation. A new key feature of this version is that the cutting wheel can be switched on and off using the touch control panel.
