The first half of 2022 (H1/2022) was significantly marked for Lectra by the war in Ukraine and its consequences. In addition, the lockdown periods had a negative impact on the number of orders in China.
Sales in H1/2022 were €250.8 million, up 71%. EBITDA before non-recurring items totaled €45.2 million (+95%) and the EBITDA margin before non-recurring items was 18.0%.
After recognizing a non-recurring charge of €1.5 million in H1/2022 for impairment of the net assets of Lectra SA, Paris/France, in Russia (€0.9 million) and for costs relating to the acquisition of Gerber Technology, Tolland, CT/USA, (€0.6 million) income from operations amounted to €29.2 million.
H1 orders for perpetual software licenses, equipment and accompanying software, and non-recurring services (€107.1 million) were up 8% compared to the amount of 2021 Pro forma (prepared by integrating the 3 acquisitions made in 2021 as if they had been consolidated from January 1, 2021) orders. Gross profit amounted to €167.1 million, up 13% compared to the H1/2021 Pro forma.
