Heraeus Precious Metals, a leading supplier of precious metal products and services, and Alfred Kochen are entering into a distribution partnership: The long-established trading house will include Heraeus Precious Metals' AGXX technology in its paints and coatings segment.
Alfred Kochen GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg/Germany, will thus become AGXX's sales partner for the applications “Paints & Coatings”, “Polyamides” as well as “Polyurethane” in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region. The company supplies industrial raw materials for various business areas to industrial end-users in the paints, coatings, construction and plastics industries.
With the distribution of the antimicrobial technology AGXX from Heraeus, Alfred Kochen can offer the paints and coatings industry an established and well-known product. The fact that this technology can also be used in the field of pot preservation is a real benefit for customers.
AGXX, the antimicrobial technology from Heraeus Precious Metals, part of the Heraeus Group, Hanau/Germany, protects surfaces and textiles from germs and shows a long-lasting effect against bacteria, viruses, biofilm formation as well as resistant germs. Unlike conventional technologies, the mechanism of action of AGXX is based on a catalytic reaction and not on the release of substances such as metal ions. To date, antimicrobial efficacy has been demonstrated against more than 130 micro-organisms, including silver-resistant E. coli strains.
