Gelmart developed a plant-based bra cup and launched a new line of sustainable intimates on August 10, 2021. The bra cup is made from 80 % sugarcane instead of traditional foam. The goal over the next few years is to get it to a 100% level.
“In a typical bra there are over 25 components which increase the complexities for wastage. Bra pad in particular have a harmful impact on the planet, both in its production and disposal” says Yossi Nasser, CEO of Gelmart International, New York, NY/USA
