We are deeply concerned about the war in Ukraine. We stand in solidarity behind Ukraine. On March 2, 2022, as part of the new "Breaking Business" format, experts from the dfv media group gave an initial assessment (in German) of what impact the war in Ukraine is having or will have on the German, European and global markets. In a little over 60 minutes, the 1,500 participants were given an analytical picture of the consequences in a wide variety of industries, which the Deutscher Fachverlag, Frankfurt/Germany, accompanies in a journalistic capacity.
Claudia van Bonn, Editor-in-Chief of TextileTechnology (umbrella brand of MELLIAND, Chemical Fibers International, Technical Textiles/Technische Textilien and nonwovensTRENDS) reported on the problems of rising energy costs, supply bottlenecks, Ukraine and Russia as production locations and sales markets, as well as possible effects on the market for technical textiles. A further aggravation of the supply bottlenecks must be assumed, since almost 50% of lorry drivers come from Eastern Europe, many from the Ukraine. If the war now causes problems with rail traffic, this will lead to major problems.
The political developments in Germany and the world could lead to grouwth in the area of protective clothing.
