Lower energy consumption and CO2 emissions in 2020

The reduction of environmental impacts in 2020 show a 21% share of renewable energies in total consumption and there was a €440,000 investment in environmental protection and nature conservation by textile chemical supplier CHT. 5.8% less energy consumption and less CO2 emissions were also reported in the annual edition of the CHT Sustainability Report, for the period January to December 2020.


Furthermore, 62% of 2020 sales for CHT Germany GmbH, Tübingen/Germany, were generated with sustainable products. For this, 91% of the strategic raw material volume was sourced from suppliers classified as sustainable.

The Sustainability Report 2020 also focuses on the following projects and provides information on their status: International sustainability assessment of suppliers; expansion of the sustainable core range; pioneer in product certification; and Ecovadis certification: Silver Medal for Corporate Social Responsibility.
