Takeover by SergeFerrari Group

SergeFerrari

The manufacturer of innovative composite fabrics for lightweight architectural and outdoor applications SergeFerrari Group SA, La Tour-du-Pin/France, has taken over 100% of the shares of the coated fabrics producer Verseidag-Indutex GmbH, Krefeld/Germany, from Jagenberg AG, Krefeld.

The takeover includes Verseidag’s subsidiaries and strengthens SergeFerrari’s position as a leader in flexible composite materials for the tensile architecture and modular structures markets. With this acquisition, the company also becomes a key player in the field of non-combustible solutions.
This acquisition will allow the generation of interesting synergies in the future, as the activities of both companies are highly complementary in terms of product ranges, sales networks, marketing and manufacturing. The plan is to continue to develop both the Verseidag brand and those of the Serge Ferrari Group. The new product variety will offer customers worldwide a large portfolio with technical textiles of highest quality. In the important future market of textile architecture, Verseidag’s innovative glass-PTFE products with production width of 5 m will open up new markets. The 3.6 m wide PVC coating technology, the lacquering line using the latest, environmentally friendly technology, and know-how in water-based coating and lamination offer a wide range of opportunities.
All of Verseidag's production sites will be continued in the future, and there are already considerations for a potential expansion. The Krefeld site, along with the other sites in Grefrath-Oedt/Germany and Straelen-Herongen/Germany are thus secured for the long term.
