The startup company Sonovia Ltd., Ramat Gan/Israel, a supplier of ultrasonic-based technology as textile finishing, has partnered with Delta Galil Industries, Tel Aviv/Israel, to promote Sonovia’s sustainable fabric-finishing technology.

Sonovia and its machinery manufacturing partner, Brückner Textile Machinery, Leonberg/Germany, will install an ultrasonic fabric-finishing applicator at Delta Galil’s innovation center in Karmiel/Israel to pilot the application of new, eco-responsible fabric finishes offering antimicrobial protection.

Sonovia has developed a new ultrasound-based, antimicrobial coating for fabrics and textiles. The technology mechanically infuses metal-oxide nanoparticles onto textiles during an ultrasonic-assisted impregnation process. This innovative technology enhances textiles with various long-lasting properties such as active built-in protection against viruses, bacteria, fungi and odor, with a proven neutralizing success rate of over 99% using eco-friendly processes.
