The corona pandemic and the effects of the tariff and trade wars have had an unexpectedly heavy impact on the business of Saurer Spinning Solutions. On June 16, 2021, Saurer Spinning Solutions GmbH & Co. KG, Übach-Palenberg/Germany, applied for the opening of protective shield proceedings at the appropriate district court in Aachen/Germany.
The decision was made to take this step in order to retain the necessary freedom of action and also to secure future financing. Saurer Spinning Solutions has a good substance with a currently good order situation. By means of the protective shield, the operative business can be continued in an orderly manner in every respect and furthermore be sustainably developed. Around 1,200 employees at a total of 3 locations are affected by this step.
The management is supported in this by the 2 self-administration experts Dr. Sven Tischendorf and Dr. Alexander Höpfner, who have each been appointed as general representatives of Saurer Spinning Solutions GmbH & Co. KG.
