The soft signage market is experiencing interesting growth rates in all areas of application - from visual communication and decor to textile clothing. Durst Phototechnik AG, Brixen/Italy, has launched the digital printing system P5 Tex iSub with an integrated inline fusing for direct printing on polyester fabrics. The new system is based on the P5 platform with a maximum print width of 3.3 m.
iSub (inline sublimation) eliminates individual work steps, resulting in an increase in quality and efficiency. No investment and no floor space are required for a calender, and the equipment is handled by only 1 operator. The printer is not limited to direct printing, but transfer papers can also be printed and further processed in the usual way.
The Sublifix dye sublimation ink developed by Durst delivers vivid colors, even on difficult media. The iSub non-contact technology ensures good color consistency as well as noticeable sharpness of detail in images and text. Furthermore, blurring or bleeding of color is almost eliminated.
The maximum print speed is 383 m²/hour when the 3.3 m print format is fully utilized. Access to 2 rolls using the Multiroll option makes changing materials much easier. In addition, the Dualroll option allows 2 rolls with a width of 1.6 m to be printed.
