Effective April 1, 2020, the Board of Directors of Saurer AG, Wattwil/Switzerland, has appointed Yiping Sheng as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He succeeds Clement Woon, who steps down as CEO. Woon will keep his position as Member of the Board and continues to support Saurer. Yiping Sheng has worked for the company for over 20 years, of these he spent several in Germany working as a design engineer. Prior to being appointed as CEO, he was a member of the group's Supervisory Board, Vice President of Saurer's China Region and General Manager of Saurer (Changzhou) Textile Machinery Co. Ltd. Under his stewardship, the group's pre-spinning business has gone through a successful transformation phase, today producing machines that meet high quality standards. He holds a degree in agricultural engineering and an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School/Fudan University.
