Innovative protective equipment in times of pandemic

After hosting 1,204 exhibitors from 56 nations and more than 25,000 trade visitors in Düsseldorf/Germany, A+A 2021 – the leading International Trade Fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work – drew to a successful close. 2 years ago at A+A 2019, there were 2,212 exhibitors from 63 countries and 73,000 trade visitors. Despite a significant decline in visitors and exhibitors, the exhibitors were very satisfied with the course of A+A 2021. 94% already confirm that they will be represented again at A+A 2023.
The 4-day event from October 26-29, 2021 was held concurrently with the International Congress for Occupational Safety and Occupational Medicine, and again clearly reflected the significantly increased relevance of safety at the workplace.
"People Matter", the motto of A+A, is currently experiencing an enormous increase in importance. The pandemic and hygiene topics played a central role at fair, alongside the latest developments in innovative protective equipment. But megatrends such as digitalization and sustainability were also among the key topics at this year's leading event.
Trade visitors gathered information on the latest trends in the areas of occupational safety, corporate health promotion and safety management at companies. In addition, solutions for the future were presented in the Start-Up Zone, where health apps, innovative services, high-tech textiles and wearables were among the new ideas. What the future of work and prevention will look like using exoskeletons was conveyed by numerous exhibitors and the Fraunhofer IPA, Mannheim/Germany, in and around the Robotics Park.
The next A+A will be held from October 24-27, 2023.
