PFNonwovens is expanding its Cape Town site in South Africa which started production in 2017. PFNonwovens Holding s.r.o. (PFN), Prague/Czech Republic, has committed to invest at least R 600 million (€ 35 million) in order to further develop its manufacturing facility with the first installation of the latest R5 manufacturing line from Reifenhäuser Reicofil GmbH, Troisdorf/Germany, in South Africa.

With this latest investment, PFN’s market leading position as the largest spunmelt producer in hygiene market in South Africa will be reinforced and it will also allow for more sustainable and flexible production which is required to meet the growing needs of both global and local clients.

The new capacity is planned for the end of 2022.
