More than 3 decades ago, ISRA Vision was founded as a spin-off of the Technical University of Darmstadt/Germany. ISRA (Intelligent Systems Robotics & Automation) was one of the first German startups to strategically focus its business case on combining machine vision with robotics and automation. At the end of June 2021, the founder and CEO of ISRA Vision AG, Darmstadt/Germany, Enis Ersü, retired from his operational professional life.

In 2020, ISRA has entered into a strategic partnership with the Swedish industry group Atlas Copco Holding GmbH, Essen/Germany, and forms the nucleus of the new Machine Vision Solutions division.

ISRA Vision is marking the dawn of a new era of growth with a traditional groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of its new headquarters building in Darmstadt. The new headquarters is located on a property measuring around 15,000 m². Set to be constructed in 2 stages, it will consist of 3 connected buildings housing offices and development laboratories, as well as demonstration and assembly halls.
