At the Index, Weitmann & Konrad GmbH & Co. KG, Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Germany, will be presenting non-contact application systems for water-based fluids at the Index in Geneva/Switzerland from October 19-22, 2021. The focus is on the functionalization of nonwoven webs with hydrophilic and antimicrobial properties, as well as the application of finishing agents and fragrances.
In times of increasingly scarce resources, sustainability has become a central topic in the nonwovens industry. Not least, the finishing should be as material and resource-saving as possible, yet effective. The company develops and produces concepts and systems for the non-contact minimum application with rotary atomizers which focus on sustainability.
Rotary atomizers offer the user some advantages which cannot be covered or only insufficiently by alternative application methods, such as top process stability and reproducibility at any time. They work in a non-contact manner and are therefore particularly gentle on the nonwovens to be finished.
