Partnership to boost textile recycling in Europe
The global circular economy expert Reconomy has announced its membership in ReHubs, an alliance focused on advancing textile recycling and circularity in Europe. The group, which includes over 30 organizations across the textile value chain, aims to tackle the low rate of textile recycling—currently less than 1% of discarded textiles are converted into new items.
As a leader in Textile Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) solutions, Reconomy, London/UK, helps brands and producers manage end-of-life processes for textiles, including collection, reuse, and recycling. By joining ReHubs, Brussels/Belgium, the company will expand its network of textile sorters and recyclers while collaborating with other industry stakeholders to share knowledge and drive collective action.
