Partnership to advance recycled cotton with AI
To utilize data and artificial intelligence, the global initiative The Denim Deal, Amsterdam/Netherlands, has announced a collaboration with Green Story, Utrecht/Netherlands. Their partnership aims to boost the scalability of post-consumer recycled (POCR) cotton throughout the denim value chain.
It targets measurable progress toward circularity by providing a solid data foundation for Denim Deal’s annual report, scheduled for release in Q4 2026.
Green Story will act as a strategic intelligence partner, offering tools to facilitate sustainability assessments and operational improvements. A central focus will be on the use of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) to enhance transparency, consumer engagement, and supply chain accountability. A newly introduced semi-autonomous circularity package will support brands in navigating challenges, offering a simplified path to adopting POCR cotton without extensive internal resources.
Through this collaboration, the 2 Dutch institutions aim to drive both compliance and consumer trust, leveraging robust data to communicate the environmental impact of recycled materials and promote adoption at scale.
