Partnership strengthens circular solutions for B2B textiles in Europe
By joining the European network Cibutex, Reverse Logistics (RLG) GmbH, Dornach/Germany, is expanding its commitment to circular solutions in the B2B textile sector. The goal of the partnership is to support companies along the value chain in implementing new regulatory requirements and establishing sustainable circular systems.

In many European countries, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for textiles is currently being introduced or prepared.
Cibutex, Amsterdam/Netherlands, connects stakeholders across the entire B2B textile value chain—from manufacturers and suppliers to industrial laundries and recycling companies. B2B textiles are considered a largely untapped material stream in the circular economy. Every year, large quantities of workwear, hotel and healthcare linens, and rental textiles enter circulation and are removed from the cycle after use. A significant portion is currently still incinerated or disposed of.
Research by Reconomy, London/UK, indicates that B2B textiles are often more homogeneous in composition and better documented compared to many B2C applications, making them suitable for circular processes. However, scaling up appropriate solutions is hampered by fragmented collection systems, a lack of transparency, and limited recycling capacities.
As part of its membership, the company is contributing its regulatory and operational expertise to the European textile market. Support will focus on the implementation of new EPR requirements, the establishment of legally compliant take-back and collection systems, and access to sorting, reuse, and recycling networks. In addition, scalable circular solutions for B2B textiles are to be developed.
RLG operates more than 40 Producer Responsibility Organizations as well as take-back and compliance systems in 15 countries worldwide.
