After the severe economic slumps caused by the corona pandemic in 2020, the global economy is gradually recovering, but is still experiencing very volatile market conditions. The pandemic is unfortunately not yet fully controlled, global freight remains unreliable and expensive, the cost for energy and global commodities is increasing, and the increasing focus on sustainability and environmental impact is driving compliance cost upward in most parts of the world.

Industrial fiber, rope and fabric manufacturer Indorama Mobility Group, a division of Indorama Ventures Public Co. Ltd. (IVL), Bangkok/Thailand, has faced such significant increases since the beginning of the year and will implement a general price increase on October 1, 2021.

Kelheim Fibres GmbH, Kelheim/Germany, a producer of viscose specialty fibers, will also increase prices for its viscose fiber range by € 0.20/kg effective October 1, 2021, or as contracts and agreements allow. In addition, freight cost adjustments will be made on an individual customer basis.
