New Global Consumer Segment leader for Cordura

Malayka Erpen is the new Global Consumer Segment leader of Cordura. In this role, she is charged with continuing the growth of the global business of the Cordura brand of Invista S.à.r.l., Wichita, KS/USA, and developing and leading the commercial strategy for all segments in the consumer market including workwear and active outdoor apparel as well as extending the Cordura brand business in new applications. Erpen will be based in Germany.  
Prior to this role, Erpen served as European Business Development Director Cordura Brand, responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for growing the Cordura Consumer business in Europe. She joined the Invista Airbag team in 2008 where she was most recently Business Director Specialty Industrial Materials/Airbag.  
Erpen brings wide knowledge to her elevated role with over 14 years of experience in the textile fiber and apparel business, including positions in operations, sales and marketing.
